Report: Brands Already Building Apps for Apple’s (Unannounced) iWatch


Apple’s big iPhone event is only one day away, but that doesn’t mean the excitement or rumor mongering has slowed down.

On the contrary, in the lead-up to what might be the most-hyped Apple event in years, the leaks and rumors just keep on coming.

The latest rumor on the iWatch front comes courtesy of 9to5Mac , which is reporting that Apple has already seeded part of is SDK for its upcoming wearable to “key partners.”

We’re going to chalk up this rumor as plausible for two reasons:

  1. Even if the iWatch (or whatever they’re going to call it) doesn’t hit the market for a few months, it will still want to show off apps and commitments from big partners.

  2. Apple did the same thing with the original iPad, showing off a few partner apps/demonstrations on Jan. 30 ahead of the broader launch two months later. Read more…
